I cannot recommend Chesnut Lodge highly enough. Their care and compassion in handling my dog Lucy helped me to get through a very difficult time for me and my family. Thant you to all the staff who were involved in putting my Lucy to rest.

Thank you for the kindness and respectful way in which you dealt with my beloved cat, Sweet William’s cremation. The way in which his ashes were returned to me and the gentle words of condolence which accompanied them very much softened my grief. You showed great care and sympathy.

From the moment you came to our home to collect our beautiful golden boy, to when we were handed his ashes, we could not have chosen a better place to care for him. Thank you will never be enough. You were all so helpful, kind, respectful and caring. A special thank you to Kim, who made our golden retriever Dudley's, attended funeral so much easier to cope with. Everything that was going to happen was explained to us and we just felt we did the very best by our beautiful best boy. We love him and miss him so much, but you helped with the goodbye. We were heartbroken at the sudden loss of our beloved dog Rossi. Everybody at Chestnut Lodge was so compassionate and caring. Rossi was treated with the utmost respect and the dignity that he deserved. At a time of terrible sadness it was such a comfort to know that Rossi was being well taken care of. Thank you all for your kindness.

This was the first time I have had to say goodbye to a pet and it was heartbreaking....but dealing with the cremation was so simple and was made easy with everyone we spoke to and dealt with.
Unfortunately we couldn't find an urn that was right for us and looking at pictures in a booklet is not easy to visualise size etc, so we opted just for cremation and have the ashes returned to us. It was returned in a lovely box with the ashes in a tin which was personalised with my cats name a lovely card and beautiful words. Much more than I expected.
Really happy and would highly recommend.

My cat Kai passed away last year early September and Chestnut lodge were amazing, they cared deeply about how we were feeling and made the whole process keep us at ease. Its taken a while to get this review here but just remembering how it felt that day makes me really appreciate how amazing Laura treated Kai. We lost our parson's terrier, Genghis to liver cancer on Valentine's Day at the age of almost 16. The loss is unbearable but the dignity and helpfulness shown by Chestnut Lodge does give is reassurance that he's getting a proper send off.
It's too quiet without him.

We have used Chestnut Lodge before and would have no hesitation in recommending their excellence and professional services.
This was the fourth time we have used them and for me this was the hardest loss to bare, my darling boy Sonny was lost after only ten years which is no age for a jack russell but he was taken by cancer too soon, he was a beautiful daddy’s boy and life will never be the same without him.
