I can't praise these lovely people enough. From the very first contact with them to the safe return of my beautiful cat, Bagheera they were superb.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart 💙

I echo the review of David Hincliffe and was very impressed with the setup. We came for a private cremation of our dearly loved Blue and Gold Macaw parrot, Captain Jack, who had lived with us, free and uncaged, for the past 46 years. It was a very emotional time for us, but Chestnut Lodge handled everything with so much care and sympathy which befitted the occasion. A plentiful supply of tissues was available in all public areas !

Being honest, it was not what I was expecting - in a good way.
It threw me a little, Smartly dressed, conscientious and very polite. The surroundings are quiet and private and the grounds very well looked after. They even have a nice room to say any final goodbyes should you wish to. Basically if you would like your Pet to be treated with the same respect and dignity that a human relative would receive, then this is the place.

We had to let our special doggy of 15 years go... at the time it was so painful... still is but after arranging our last cuddle and goodbyes with our princess I will be leaving feeling better than before! Our bailey boo looked so peaceful and well looked after! So lovely to have this option as before was at home feeling guilt and to find out that we could see her one last time changed everything! Being able to bring her home the same day too is so comforting! Thank you to all the staff that took part in baileys care! Wouldn’t of wanted it any other way!

Its been almost a month since we lost our beloved dog "Barny" to a sudden heart attack, he was the first pet my husband and I had together and he was so special to us. We wanted an individual cremation and from passing on Monday Dec 7th & engaging Chestnut Lodge, we had him collected having his ashes returned on Friday the same week. Every step has been professional supportive & caring, right down to their caring about the environment with regards to the way they retuned his ashes to us & packaging used.

We do hope that it will be a very long time before we need to use their services again, but we would reuse them again in heart beat.

Thank You to Riann Copper, Marianne Wood & Stephen Mayles & all at Coastway's Vets who recommended their services to us and who valiantly tried to save him, without success.

It's strange to be recommending a cremation service but their care and support was second to none, which is why we have taken time to write this testimonial.

Thank You Once Again - Andrew & Peter

When I had to have my beloved cat put to sleep, my vets arranged for her to be cremated through Chestnut Lodge.

They were kind and compassionate and dealt with things quickly and professionally.

I had not heard of them before the vets sent Honey to them and I would recommend them to anyone that needs their services.

We had to say goodbye to our lovely boy, a 13.5 year old Scottie. We were lucky enough to be able to do this in our own home with the help of Vet2Home, they were lovely and said they used Chestnut Lodge as a matter of course, as they were the only company that could provide the level of service they require. I have to say they were right. When we collected our boys ashes the gentleman was very respectfully dressed, which may sound odd, but it made me feel he really did respect himself, his clients and his work. The collection box is a nice thing to do, with the ashes carefully packaged inside. I have to say that my dog was treated with far more respect and care than my mother was when she was cremated (not by chestnut lodge!) definitely a company worth using and I will recommend to everyone I know.

We had to put our beautiful 11 year old German pointer cross, Lexi, to sleep on December 9th, 2020. It was a heart breaking decision to make due to it being out of the blue as she developed bloat and nothing could be done for her.

Due to it happening so suddenly, we had nothing in place regarding cremation plans, however our vet recommended Chestnut Lodge and I could not have been happier with the service received. Everything was done in a sensitive and compassionate manner. I was kept informed about when she was ready to collect and everything was beautifully packaged and presented.

Thank you for helping us give our Lexi the goodbye she deserved. .

We had to say goodbye to our beautiful ginger fur baby due to cancer. Chestnut Lodge kept us informed of what was going on and what was to happen. Very professional and very comforting in a difficult time.
