We lost our beautiful dog Monty on the 15/12/19, he was taken away from us too soon.We want to thank everyone at Chestnut Lodge, for your kindness and compassion and for making our loss a little more bearable.Chestnut Lodge is truly a beautiful place and felt right that we chose you and not the advice of the vet.
Thank you so so much.. The Ahern family x
Thank you so much for looking after Sox, our beloved pet who enriched our lives for over 18 years, with care and dignity.
Your care, sensitivity and efficiency is very much appreciated.

Thank you so much for responding to collect our treasured pet Mindi so promptly. This was such a sad time for us both as we had had her for 14 years. You carried out our wishes as we requested. Treated her and us with the utmost respect, dignity and compassion which helped to ease the pain of her loss. You returned her ashes to us as promised and the personal touch and serenity of the lodge was amazing. Cannot thank you enough. Such a dignified ending to a special pet whom we loved so much.
Sadly we lost our baby Missy after 14 and a half years very suddenly and would like to say how happy we were with the care and sensitivity shown by Stephen, Riann & Marianne, and can rest assured that missy was given the care that we would have wished for her, we would have no hesitation in recommending chestnut lodge to anyone with a bereavement thanks you once again Liane, John and Shane Butler
We want to say a big, massive thank you to Ryan and Aaron who were so kind and gentle and compassionate throughout the attended cremation for our 2 cats, Phoebe and Mickey. We went for the attended cremation for both our pets (one half an hour after the other in the same place but different cremation chambers suitable for cats) as we wanted to see the chambers and make sure our pets ashes would be kept separate from each other, and also from other pets.) Well we had no worries, we attended the placing of our much loved pets in their separate chambers and also the removal of our pets ashes. Ryan and Aaron were very sensitive in brushing up all of our pets ashes on both occasions, and in a sensitive, respectful and a kind way. We were also concerned that as our pets had previously been buried and then interred that this would be a problem, but no it wasn’t, the Chestnut Lodge were happy to accommodate. Also, the lovely staff on the phone who I rang up initially to enquire about cremations were endlessly patient as I had many questions as I wanted to get it right for our lovely pets. We wanted to get it right, and we did, we were not rushed in any way, or made to feel silly and we will definitely be using Chestnut Lodge again. The actual crematorium is in a very peaceful, quiet area surrounded by woodland and is very tranquil. Thank you so much, especially to Ryan and Aaron for their kindness to our pets and to ourselves. Sheila and Russ 🙂

Very happy with the service received it made grieving process easier
We sadly had to put our dear Billy, a 15 year old rescue cat, to sleep recently - and much quicker than we had anticipated. Once again Stephen was there to help in the most awful of times and we left our handsome old chap in his tender care. This is the fourth time in six years we have used Chestnut Lodge Pet Crematorium for all our old rescue cats, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to those that want to give them as much care and love in their final moments as they had from their owners when they were alive. Thank you Stephen you always make the most upsetting of times bearable. Billy is now back with his mum and dad, and three other cats who’ve gone before, all in their beautifully presented scatter tins on our shelf with a little cat inspired tea light to light their way to Rainbow Bridge.
I have had many animals, a whole lot of love and therefore a fair amount of grief too! Two years ago I lost my adored Jack Russell at 17 and Rusty my huge red setter at 11 within 2 weeks. It was so sad but the least you can do for a whole life devoted to you is acknowledge their passing. The recognition that they are characters in their own right and important, the chance to say goodbye in their own chapel of rest and then their ashes back home in a beautiful casket makes it so much easier. Over the last couple of years , my Mum and I have lost pets. Recently I lost Ruby , Rusty' s sister and I have lost 2 cats. My oldest Mummy cat to the others and a not so old Silly Sylv with a neurological problem. Yet having them back in a beautiful red copper dog with their name and any nick names engraved as well so all 3 dogs are now home together and my boy back in a silver tabby ornament. I always like the flower on the ashes in the base of the sleeping cat. Such attention to detail, paw prints also. I thought it especially kind to stay open until 7 to wait for my Cindy when i could not get there earlier yesterday.
Thankyou for caring for our pets as much as we do
Thank you for your kind and caring words throughout this whole process. At a very sad time you have made us feel at ease knowing that our Rossi Dog is being treated with respect. Many thanks
